Flux Learning is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our platform inclusive and usable by all.
We are actively working towards full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Our Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Flux Learning is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Navigation
- Keyboard navigation support throughout the application
- Skip navigation links to bypass repetitive content
- Consistent navigation structure across pages
- Focus indicators on interactive elements
Visual
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA requirements (4.5:1 for normal text)
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
- Information is not conveyed by color alone
Structure
- Semantic HTML markup (headings, landmarks, lists)
- ARIA labels and roles where appropriate
- Proper heading hierarchy (H1-H6)
- Form inputs have associated labels
Content
- Alternative text for informative images
- Descriptive link text
- Error messages that identify the issue and suggest corrections
- Instructions that don't rely solely on sensory characteristics
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the platform may have accessibility limitations. We are actively working to address these issues:
Course Builder
Issue: Some drag-and-drop interactions may be difficult with keyboard only
Workaround: Keyboard shortcuts are available for reordering content

Issue: Uploaded PDFs may not be automatically accessible
Workaround: Users should ensure uploaded PDFs are already accessible

- Expert Review: Periodic accessibility audits by specialists (planned)
VPAT / Accessibility Conformance Report
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a document that explains how information and communication technology (ICT) products such as software, hardware, electronic content, and support documentation conform to accessibility standards.
